Get test coins
First: a testnet wallet
Section titled “First: a testnet wallet”Install Nautilus’s testnet build and make a new wallet just for testing. Try the testnet prototype has the steps. Never use a wallet that holds mainnet funds, and never type a mainnet seed phrase into a testnet wallet.
ERG on testnet
Section titled “ERG on testnet”ERG is the coin of Ergo’s public testnet too. There it has no value. It pays for transactions, and for the ERG side of a trade or of liquidity.
- How to get it: use the Ergo testnet faucet, or the Test coins tab in Kadia DEX with Testnet selected. It sends ERG or one of the test tokens to your testnet address, which starts with
3. Each test token comes with 0.5 ERG for fees, so you can use it straight away. The faucet shows each amount before you claim. - How often: one claim per address per offer every 24 hours; at most 6 claims a day from one connection, across offers; and at most 30 claims of each offer a day in all.
- The short check: before it sends anything, the faucet runs a short proof-of-work check in your browser instead of a captcha (“Checking this browser…”). It usually takes a few seconds.
- Testnet addresses only: a mainnet address (it starts with
9) is refused, and so is one with a typo, by its check digits. If the faucet is empty or paused, ask in the tester channel your invitation came from. - How much: a few ERG is enough to try swaps and liquidity. Every order also carries a small execution-fee cap and a miner fee, and payouts carry a rent reserve that stays yours.
tUSE stands in for USE on testnet. It’s a token minted for Kadia’s testnet, with the ticker tUSE and 3 decimals. It isn’t USE, and it has no value.
- How to get it: choose tUSE in the faucet. For more, swap ERG for it in Kadia DEX, on the ERG / tUSE market. You can also ask in the tester channel.
- Check the token id, never the name. Anyone can mint a token called “tUSE”. The real one is
477b40464c0aad56ff95401b2988f49580d1b951fe35fe325caae0f933c7af22. It’s the same token Kadia Lending’s testnet uses. The testnet DEX record lists the markets’ other ids.
tBTC stands in for a Rosen-bridged BTC on testnet, with 8 decimals. It has no value, and it isn’t bridged from anywhere.
- How to get it: choose tBTC in the faucet, or swap ERG for it on the ERG / tBTC market. The tUSE / tBTC market trades it against tUSE.
- Check the token id:

The other test tokens
Section titled “The other test tokens”Eight more test tokens each have a market against ERG. Five mirror a Rosen-bridged coin, with the same decimals and supply; three stand in for coins that aren’t on Rosen. None of them is bridged from anywhere, and none has value.

- How to get them: choose one in the faucet. Each comes with 0.5 ERG for fees. Or swap ERG for it on its ERG market.
- Check the token id, never the name. Kadia’s apps show a test token’s coin icon, with a small “test” badge, only for these exact ids. The testnet DEX record lists their markets and supplies.
Seeing your balance
Section titled “Seeing your balance”Nautilus shows your ERG and tokens on testnet. Kadia’s explorer reads mainnet only for now, so it won’t show testnet balances.
Stay safe
Section titled “Stay safe”- Kadia never asks for your seed phrase, private keys or wallet password. Nobody from Kadia will.
- ERG on testnet and the test tokens can’t be swapped for mainnet ERG or real USE, and nobody can sell them to you. If someone offers, it’s a scam.
